Initial Workflow Checklist
Confirm your Mac meets these Requirements.
Install Postlab
then sign up for a
Postlab Team Plan or Enterprise plan
.
Add Team Members.
Enable Remote Locking on Postlab Drive:
Team Owner
-
enable Remote Locking on Postlab Drive for each Team Member who needs it, including yourself.
Implement these Requirements for Media Composer on each Mac.
Connect Postlab Drive.
Launch Media Composer.
In Media Composer:
Create or upload a shared Project on Postlab Drive.
Enable "Bin sharing for products emulating Avid NEXIS/ISIS storage".
Have each Team Member open the shared Project from Postlab Drive.
Confirm Remote Locking is enabled in Avid Media Composer:
Bins are listed with a Team Member's
Computer Name
next to it.
Computer Name: in macOS, go to
System Preferences > Sharing > Computer Name
Bins display a lock status indicator.

🔴 🔒 - locked from you
Advanced Workflow Options
Create a High-Resolution, shared Project to enable Proxy Mode.
Transcode / Ingest Proxy Media to Postlab Drive.
Set proxy playback mode to match your Proxy Media resolution.
Configure Media Composer to use your existing Avid-Compatible Shared Storage along with Postlab Drive.
