# Licenses All Hedge products use license keys for activation. For activation, an internet connection is required. After initial activation, no further internet connection is required. At least once each app start, Hedge products will communicate with our license servers and update servers to check for license validity and available updates. These checks are non-mandatory, meaning our apps can be used offline after the initial activation.
