Canister for Windows
Want in on the public Canister for Windows beta? Email us: [email protected]

Requirements

  • Windows 10 or 11
  • IBM LTO Drive
  • IBM LTFS 2.4.5.1
Before diving in, you must ensure your LTO drive is visible in Device Manager. This step likely includes installing the appropriate driver for your Host Bus Adaptor. LSI cards tend to be recognized automatically, ATTO and Areca not so much.

Install Sequence

Install the following, the order is important.
  1. 3.
Install Canister for Windows (if you're on the beta, we emailed you the link)
  2. 4.
Format tape if required in the LTFS Configuration Utility
  3. 5.
Open Canister and activate using the license provided
  4. 6.
Have fun with Archive & Retrieve 🚀
